• Provides information and advice regarding technical products, services and offers solutions advice during pre-sales discussions with customers.
• Designs complex networking, telecommunications systems and system solutions for hosted and managed clients.
• Responds to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs.
• Provides strategies, long-term planning, and utilization of network and telephony systems.
• Represents the product to customers and at field events such as conferences, seminars, and demonstrations.
• Provides strategies, long-term planning, budgeting, and documentation of network and telephony systems for Nuvodia and its customers.
• Prepares and performs product demonstrations, answers complex technical questions and provides workable solutions to help close sales opportunities.
• Works with engineering and other technical staff to develop customized prototypes and solutions, in accordance with the prospective customer’s product and business requirements.
• Discuss and/or present technical ideas and solutions understandably to non-technical clients.
• Secures quotes, bids and contracts from hardware/software and telecommunication vendors.
• Performs data communication functions related to the design and implementation of hardware, software, and circuit facilities.
• Converts customer technical requirements into solutions.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; participating in professional user groups.
• Maintains vendor relationships.
• Meets sales targets.
• Prepares accurate labor and hardware cost estimates.
• Builds Network, Systems and voice documentation to including Visio diagrams and support materials.
• Responsible for transition process to deployment engineers.
• Analyzes complex hardware and software configurations in order to design client solutions.
• Ability to execute deployment projects for piloting solutions.
• Designs, implements, installs, and troubleshoots network infrastructure with the following systems:
o Cisco IP Telephony: Call Manager, Unity Connection, Exchange, Emergency Responder, Contact Center Express, and InformaCast
o Cisco routers – 800’s, 1900’s 2900’s, 3900’s, 7200’s; routing protocols, subnetting, etc.
o Cisco switches – small branch office lines to 6500’s and Nexus.
o Firewalls, VPN, and security products – Cisco, SonicWall, Fortinet
o Cisco wireless solutions
o Barracuda Solutions
o McAfee Solutions
o Cisco and Dell blade and chassis servers
o VMware and Citrix virtualization platforms
o EMC SAN technologies
• Designs, configures, coordinates and implements telecommunications systems, which may include PBX, voice switching systems, voice processing systems (e.g. voice mail), the voice network, integrated work stations, telecommunications cable/wiring plans, and related products and services.
• Oversees and installs, and configures software and hardware for the LAN/WAN and voice data systems.
• Design network security procedures.
• Implement network security procedures.
• Coordinates the implementations of new equipment for LAN/WAN/TELCO with internal/external clients and vendors.
• Problem solves with internal/external clients, vendors, and consultants to provide the highest quality service and support for LAN/WAN/TELCO.
• Other duties as assigned

Travel and weekend work will be required.
Qualifications and Experience
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, information science, computer science, software, engineering, business, other related field or equivalent experience
• Experience:
o Five+ years of progressively responsible network engineering experience is required.
o Excellent communications, interpersonal and customer support skills.
o Ability to document system solutions and follow outlined processes.
o Experience with Cisco IOS including QOS, ACL, PIX firewall, Cisco VPN Concentrator
o Experience with Cisco Call Manager, Cisco Unity, Cisco IPCC
o Experience with telecommunication equipment, data & phone cabling, network security, wireless technologies, and all Windows OS
o Experience with Microsoft Server platforms, including Windows Server operating systems, Exchange email, and SQL server.
o Experience with VMware and Citrix virtualization products.
• Preferred Certifications: CCDP, CCIE, CCDA, CCDE, highly desired
• Computer Skills: Experience with the following computer applications is highly desired: MCSA, MCSE, VCAP5-DCD also desired.
• Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio); Internet, Intranet
