Key Job Duties and Responsibilities
Summary: To obtain the safest and highest quality CT and MRI exams under the direct or indirect supervision of a radiologist per established Inland Imaging guidelines and protocols.

• Independently performs CT and MRI studies that meet or exceed the standards set by the interpreting radiologist(s)
• Uses professional judgment to reconstruct images as needed to enhance study for interpretation
• Follows established protocols for individual CT and MRI examinations
• Prepares equipment and room for exams:
o Assists in the transportation of patients as needed
o Ensures proper contrast dosage is ready and available as needed
o Prepares room with sterile trays and supplies for invasive procedures
o Cleans exam room after each study
• Interviews and assesses patient for CT and MRI exam
o Obtains procedure consent
o Reviews patient preparation checklist prior to procedure
• Performs parenteral procedures i.e. contrast injections, IV starts/removal
o Consistently practices sterile procedures for invasive studies
o Quickly recognizes patient contrast reaction and follows accepted standards for appropriate patient care during and after reaction
o Always wears appropriate PPE for study as appropriate
• Physically assist patients on or off the CT and MRI table
• Communicates with patient during exam to ensure the patient does not move and to ensure patient comfort level
• Completes all exam paperwork
o Builds patient exam work list
o Changes exam codes in billing system as appropriate
o Appropriately codes exam for billing
o Adds charges for medications and contrast as appropriate
• Troubleshoots CT and MRI equipment and reports issues to Team Leader and/or Coordinator
• Assists in the transportation of patients as needed
• Rotates to other shifts and locations as needed
• Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Experience
• Education:
o High School Diploma/GED – required
o Accredited Radiologic Technologist Program or equivalent on the job experience required necessary to pass the ARRT (R)
• Experience:
o Minimum of six (6) months as a practicing Certified Radiologic Technologist – preferred
o Anatomy and medical terminology preferred.
o Medical office experience preferred.
o Understanding of MRT-CT procedures to be read by radiologist preferred.
• Licensure: Must maintain current Washington State Certified Radioligic Technologist License
• Certifications: ARRT (R) and be board eligible for ARRT (CT) and/or (MRI). Must successfully complete certification exam in both MRI and CT within 18 months of employment/transfer
• Computer Skills: Experience with the following computer applications is highly desired: Outlook; Kronos; iSite PACS; Imagecast/Centricity RIS; EPIC; Flowcast; Intranet
• Background Check:
o Must be able to pass a background check required by RCW 43.43.830-840 to work with children under the age of 16, developmentally disabled persons or vulnerable adults
o In order to comply with provisions set forth in Sections 1128 and 1156 of the Social Security Act, all new employees of Inland Imaging, LLC will be checked against the LIST OF EXCLUDED INDIVIDUALS provided by the Department of Health & Human Services, Office of the Inspector General (OIG). Employees must not be included on this list.
• Drug Test: Eligible employees must be able to pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug test.
• Must agree to take call to meet the needs of the company
